Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Hello all I have a question. I just got excepted to GCU and only have to take 10 of the core classes. I have the choice to take Ethical Decision Making in Health Care again or Trends and Issues in Health Care again since I have to complete 30credits at GCU. Which class would you rather take again and why? I would really appreciate any input.

Hi Beauty,
I'm about to start Trends and Issues so I can't give you a lot of advise on that but I can tell you (maybe it's just me) that for some reason I was bored stiff with Ethical decision making, maybe it's the assignments or something, I found I had to drag myself through it. Trends and issues is looking interesting to me because they will probably talk about what's happening and where we're going.
Frankly, I just can't wait until I'm done with Patho this week what a chore its been!
@PurpleMyst what were the assignments like in Ethical decision making?
Well, the first assignment is an essay on personal ethics, the second week we had no assignment, on week 3 an essay on When it’s ok to break a confidentiality, 4th week CLC group project on analysis of ethical dilemma part I, 5th week it’s the second part of the group project.

Hi there sincerely,
You should be able to log into your email account from GCU and you should receive a code so that you can download all your books if you're taking all the classes at GCU. The way you get into your GCU email is through the student portal, when you log into your student portal at GCU look to the top right area kind of under where it says "Find your purpose" click on email and it will take you there. You can forward this email from GCU to your personal account so you won't miss messages from school. Also you can download the vitalsource bookshelf application for your pc, tablet and cell phone if you want it. This application is connected to the Evolve Elsevier books you have paid for. Sometimes a class may have a link to the book but not all classes do and that is a different way of getting the book which requires adobe reader and your school id and password to access. I hope that helps, sorry its a long post.
JRichI think you will be able to order one, because Herrf Jones, the vendor will send you an e-mail.
I was finally givent the information via some commencement dude. But I thought the prices were too high for the pin. I don't need to spend that much on a pin I will never use. My ADN pin was $15 only
Hello everyone
I've been following this thread for a couple months and now I'm finally posting :)
I'm in the second week of my second class, Family Centered Health Promotion, and so far so good with this instructor, I hope it remains this way. I had a very difficult time with my instructor in Professional Dynamics. She was terrible about responding to questions about grading and clarifying expectations. She would either ignore my question completely or answer a week later. Plus, she was even addressing me as another student in the notes for my grades making me wonder if she was giving me someone else's grade. I also kept losing participation points and asked for clarification over and over, and never got it. Luckily I did well on the assignments so I still managed to get an A in the class.
I really want to avoid instructors like that again. I've searched ratemyprofessors for the instructors for my next few scheduled classes and none of them come up on there. I'm hoping some of you will be so kind and pm the info you have given or received on the good and not so good instructors.
Hi all,
I'm going to have to jump out of my current class "Trends and Issues because I got one of those crazy instructors that gives a 0 if any part of your reference is incorrect then may or may not let you resubmit with a 20% deduction.
Can anyone recommend an instructor you liked for Trends and Issue in Health care? If so, please send me a private message with the instructors name.
Tokmom, if you see this you know who I'm talking about:(

If anyone had a good/fair/reasonable health assessment teacher they liked/enjoyed can you PM their name? OR- health assessment instructors I should stay away from? I would very much appreciate it! TIA!
