I am apllyling for graduate school for this Summer. On the application form, they ask for residency status , visa type and A#. In my case I have filed and have my I-140 has been approved, as suc i am no longer cnsidered F-1. However, i am not yet a resident, nor do I have an A#. In this case what do I do?

I really need help. My lawyer's assistant is tell me that I'll still be considered an international student although my f-1 has expired and my I-140 has been approved. I am getting conflicting information. Please help!!!
