Hey! Congrats on getting into the nursing program.. The hardest course for me was fundamentals. We took that 1st as well. My advice would be to read & take notes. I'm a wife & mother of a 3 & 6 yr old so it's doable. Just have a good support system!

Specializes in Home Health; Hospice.

Congrats new grad and new accepted student! New Grad - I got pinned Dec 10. Taking NCLEX on Monday. So excited! Congrats to you!! New nursing student, fasten your seatbelt honey! You are in for a ride! Make sure you have: Good support system, someone to help with cooking/cleaning, plenty of note-taking supplies, highlighters, bookmarks, good clinical shoes, always keep extra uniform in your vehicle - watch, namebadge, scrubs, etc. Find a good protein bar and keep it in your pocket, lunch takes forever! Study. Study. Ask questions. Interact in class and let your instructors know you want to learn. Same on the clinical floor. The more eager you are to learn, the more experience you will get!
