GPA and TEAS score, good enough?

Published

Hello all! I'm new to this website (just signed up a few minutes ago), however I am in desperate need of your help and advice. I am currently a Sophomore who is applying to nursing school. The school I want to go to has an average GPA of 3.3, and an average TEAS score of 77.3. My currently GPA, from both schools I have applied to, is a 3.2 and my TEAS score is an 87.3. I got B-'s in both A&P 1 as well as Microbio, however I got an A in Nutrition sciences. I am registered to take Chem, Human Growth and Development, and A&P 2 this upcoming Spring semester... Please be honest... do you think I have a chance? I am wracking my brain about my GPA, however I am hoping that my TEAS score will help me? :(

Make an appointment to speak to the nursing advisor at the schools you are considering. They will be the best sources to tell you what your chances are. None of us sit on the admissions committees of the schools you want to apply to.

I agree with the previous poster you must speak with the program about your worries. try to do very well on your remaining prereqs.
