Hey All, I've been trying with very high hopes for the past two years to apply to my schools nursing program. It's for the ADN program. I've done very well and completed all my pre-reqs with A's and B's. I got my associate of arts and my cumulative GPA is 2.9. My schools requires at least a 2.5. Thoughts? I'm on the fence about applying but I think I'm goin to give it a shot.

Hello Ashhoov21

I applied to my school with a 2.9 GPA and at the time it was a 2.7 gpa requirement to get accepted. I was placed on the waitlist and was accepted the same term.

I believe you should apply and talk to the recruiter if there is anything you can do to make your application standout beyond GPA. Talk to the school have your name be known maybe you will be able to talk to an admission committee member which can vouch for your acceptance.

You should also apply because you have nothing to loose and all to gain. You'll learn what you are lacking and improvements you need to make if are not accepted. It will only make you a stronger individual.
