GPA

I am just finishing up all my prerequisites before getting into a nursing program. When I finish, I will most likely have a 2.5 science gpa. Both of the programs that I applied for require a 2.7 or a 2.75 science gpa. Do any of you know what happens if you don't get the gpa required, but you get accepted??

Generally, when something is required there's no going around it.

They will typically not even look at your application if you don't fulfill the basic requirements.

You likely won't be considered not meeting the minimum acceptance requirements. So you likely won't be accepted if you "don't get the GPA required". Nursing school is very competitive in much of the US and most earn a GPA that exceeds the admission minimums. With a 2.5 you will likely be competing with applicants that have a 3.7 or higher GPA. Who do you think admissions is going to select?

You won't be accepted since you don't meet the basic minimum requirement. So your question is a non-issue.

Are you willing to re-take the science courses with the hope of improving your GPA?

I was already waitlisted for one of mine programs. But it wasn't for my gpa, it was because of my teas score. I haven't finished the semester yet to get a 2.75 gpa. So I don't know how they would determine it, because it's not like either of them just overlooked my application.

Just FYI that if they do offer you a spot, they can rescind that offer if you cannot meet the minimum requirements. I'm trying to discourage you, but it's something to be aware of.
