On Army board results for April and May? They apparently are combining and releasing the results at the same time. I applied for the Army Nurse Candidate Program and boarded on April 14th. The May boards started May 5th. Still no word, and my recruiter is getting harder to contact. I don't know, like I said earlier, I have lost a lot of interest. I still want it, but am apathetic at this point. Thanks everyone!

I am in the same boat as you are. I should have been boarded in April, then May...still nothing. My recruiter has always been an enigma, but is harder to reach as time goes by. I don't know what is up, but it seems odd

Hey MarkisRN, I was just wondering who your recruiter is. I live in MO and I have been talking to SFC AL out of St. Ann, are you talking to a recruiter from the same place? Just wondering if there is a better recruiter out there:icon_roll

I think it really depends on what programs you are applying for, what identifier's you are requesting, etc. Because I know the Army supposedly has met its quota for 66H, but not necessarily for 66HM6 or 66H8A. And I was still able to commission as a 66H after April boards because I was applying for the BSN STRAP stipend so my slot came from somewhere else I guess, but good luck!

I am applying for the Army Nurse Candidate Program, and I'm not sure what identifier that is. Does anyone know? My recruiter told me recently that this is still a critical program for the Medical Corps. Has anyone heard this? I can see how it is different because I will not commission until I finish my BSN program in August of 2010. Any answers/advice on this on how to deal with my recruiter would help. Thanks so much!

Nevermind! I got the call this evening. I made it in! I am a member of the ANCP. Thanks to everyone for all their replies and help.

I got official word last night. I got my appointment as 1st LT but can't be sworn in until scroll comes back from congress as 1st LT instead of 2nd LT. Anyway, I got what I asked for, STRAP to complete my BSN, I am and ADN RN now, and Loan repayment.

My Recruiter was out of St Louis.

Hello deemo21,

I was wondering if you could tell me the difference between 66H,HM6, and 66H8A. My recruiter set me up as a 66H and said it was to make sure that I got in (age waiver accepted for res. in Feb. of this year.) Also, I have heard that they have filled the quota for nurses.

waiting 28,

congrats, when do you go to Obc

Hi. 66H8A = ICU nurse, 66HM6 = ER nurse, 66H = Med-Surg nurse. There are other identifiers to show what specialty you are.
