Just wanted to start a thread to see who else will be attending COT in January and to share any info that we obtain through the grapevine.

As far as I known I will be attending cot in January. I am prior service enlisted Army. I want a heads up on the curriculum so I can be prepared. Have you started working on running, pushing, and sitting up? I am supposed to get my first duty station assignment info tomorrow or Wednesday and can't wait to see where we will be going after COT. January can't get here soon enough, we are all excited!!

As far as I know, I will be going to Lackland AFB but that is still up in the air being that my husband is active duty and his job is not available there. We have to file for join spouse once I'm actually in COT so we're expecting or at least hoping for a change. My husband has been kicking my you know what with PT so hopefully I'll be ready. I've also been purchasing my uniforms little by little to avoid dropping two grand in one shot. I'm so excited to be back in the Blue again and I'm excited for everyone who has been selected!

My COT date is March 3rd. I'll be at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska. This links you to Air Force March 2014 COT.

Not sure of my COT date yet. Are those of you going to COT in January part of the NTP or FQ group?

I'm march and I'm FQ. It's my understanding that they don't segregate NTP vs FQ for COT only. FQ people go to their assignment directly afterwards while NTP people go to another training location (I think Scottsdale, AZ?).

I didn't think they assigned by either one but good to know. I am also FQ but still no idea where or when. Hoping to know by the end of the week and really hoping to go in January but only because I have been chasing this for a while and am ready to be moving on. :) However I am aware that whenever I go it will be exactly when I'm supposed to be gone.

I am fq January COT

I was just informed on Tuesday that I'll be starting my Air Force nursing adventure at the COT starting on 13 Jan 2014. After COT I'll be heading to SAMMC (Fort Sam Houston, TX) where I'll be in the ICU (according to my orders). Huge change for me considering I've lived in New England my whole life. Looking forward to talking to anyone else who will be joining me at Maxwell in a couple months.

Has anyone heard when the next selection board is?

CAPPerron, I will be with you in COT and then off to AZ for NTP then to SAMMC so I'll see you there! January is taking forever to come. Right now I'm a nurse at a level 1 trauma ER that sees about 300 patients a day so I'm gaining lots of experience through work that I can apply as an Air Force nurse. I'm prior Air Force so I know the military side of things but I'm not too familiar with the nursing side of things which I'm really excited about.

Sounds like a plan, and I agree that January is taking forever to come, but I'm using the time to catch up with family and friends prior to my departure from New Hampshire for Texas. Currently, I'm a Critical Care Nurse at a smaller (130-bed) community hospital, and I'll be continuing in that role down at SAMMC. Working against me is that I have no actual military experience, aside from what I have picked-up being in Civil Air Patrol (volunteer auxiliary of the Air Force) for the past 13 years. We'll just see what happens. Have you heard anything about housing for when we finally reach San Antonio?
