Got into Nursing School! How to pay for it?

Hi everyone! I just found out i got accepted into the Nursing Program at my school for my RN! I missed the scholarship deadline as well as the financial aid deadline for my school since it was back in April. Now i am not sure how i am going to pay for everything! I have used credit cards to pay for my pre reqs and am still paying that off :/ My school does offer a payment plan which is what i have done in the past however im worried i wont be able to work enough to make the payments being a brand new nursing student! My mother has been very ill for years causing my parents to be swamped with medical bills which is the reason i have been paying for everything alone! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

U still should be able to apply for financial aid. Nursing school for me starts in sept. and I applied for the 2012-2013 school year. U can still apply. With out financial aid I would not be going to school

I applied for financial aid after the deadline and still receive it. You may also need to try for a personal loan as well :cry:..just depends how bad you want this!

Have you asked your school if there are any other grant programs in the community that you can apply for. In louisiana we have different grant options not necessarily affiliated with the school such as PHOCAS. There may even be some just for nursing students. Talk to your schools financial aid department and hopefully they can help you. Good luck!!! and congrats on getting into nursing school, its an adventure you'll never forget....lol. :yeah:
