What should I do?????????I got one of my letters in the mail today from one of the schools that I applied for and it said that they are placing me on the wait list. I called the advisor and she said there are only about 10 students on the waitlist for the 40 something students that they accepted and they usually pick about 4 from the list. She couldn't tell me what number I am on the waitlist becuase she said that they ususally place them in order after the Spring semester. They want me to respond my April 10th to let them do I want to be placed on the waitlist. However to still be considered I have to take Patho as a requirement in the summer. As a backup I applied into another medical program and got accepted but they want me to take a physics in the summer as well? And at the school that put me on the waitlist Patho and Physics is being taught at the same time. What should I do I really want to become Nurse do I need take this chance taking Patho? Has anyone ever been called that was a wait list:bugeyes:

I hear ya. I have been placed on an alternate list. I am #8 and the class accepts 100 students. Thats a pretty big class nothing assured of course but for some reason(I'm to optimistic maybe) i think I'm gonna get in. I think you are In a good place cause at least you know they pick 4/10 so don't give up i think you will get in for what it is worth;)
Is there anyway you can take one of those classes online? That way you can take them both if thats an option. Many people on here have gotten in that were on awaiting/alternate.
I will be waiting to see your next post which will be accepted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :balloons: :balloons:

Wow....that is a hard decision.
I agree, try to find if you can take either online. (If you happen to find a Physics online, make sure the school will accept it because it's not an actual lab class.)
(BTW, Physics for nursing?)
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm...
I was placed on a wait list and I turned around and chose to move to NYC since I was in there. As far as the classes being in the summer. I took anatomy during the summer and also organic chemistry during the summer at two different colleges. One of them happened to be a community college. Gotta do what you gotta do. I know, every schoool is a pain the rear when it comes to the pre requisites they want you to have. The good news is that the end result will be more education and you will get your R.N. soon enough:)
I know it's tough, I remember having to juggle trying to get my prerequisites done before all of the deadlines:(
Good luck...

Don't know if you have made your decision yet - but let me share this -
Last Thursday was orientation for the traditional and the transitional (LPN-to-RN) students. Of all the waitlisted students for the Transitional program - and there were 10 - they all got in. For the traditional program, all but 3 got in out of 10; however, there are at least 6 of us waiting to hear from another school and if we choose the other school, they will get in, too. So DON'T GIVE UP :)
