Now that I got accepted into nursing school (thankfully) what would you advise me to do? Should I buy any other books besides the required books? Thanks in advance for your suggestions! :-)

I wouldn't.
I bought a few suggested ones, but they weren't worth it. I'd just get the school texts if I were you. :)

Purchase the Saunders comprehensive NCLEX review book - it helped me with school exams as well
get the PDQ for RN book - priceless during clinicals
I didn't buy any of the recommended texts because it was all I could do to read the assigned readings, but that's an individual choice
congrats, you're in for a ride, but take care of yourself (physically and mentally) and you'll get through it :)

don't buy extra. You will have enough material to learn with the required texts. A study guide is good. Make sure you get latest editions.

Buy a pocket drug guide for clinicals. The Lippincott's Drug Guide is a great one. It's so much easier to have a pocket version during clinicals and they are not that expensive.

Definitely buy an NCLEX question book or two. I've regularly used Saunders, the Success series, and Made Incredibly Easy books throughout my program.

I bought Saunders NCLEX 5e before I started the program, and recently bought the 6e. It definitely helps when studying for exams because nursing exams are generally NCLEX format. The good thing about NCLEX books is that it is full of rationales for answers and incorrect answers. :-)

Our nursing program actually required the Saunders Nclex book as a required textbook
