I was "released" from employment last month and have secured an interview this week with another facility.
I don't want to say that I was terminated because it just makes me feel a tad defensive. I want to say something along lines of "separation of employment" and not dwell too much on the details. You can look under the Patient Safety thread, ("well I think Im going to get canned").
I can be pretty crafty with wording but... just want to hear from the experts.

We had a seperation of employment because it was not a good fit. What I am most excited about is that going forward I have developed a number of skills clincally. I have a broad understanding of multidisciplinary plans of care. (and whatever else you can add that is a reflection of going forward).
IF they ASK and ONLY if they ask you why it is you were not a good fit, I would say something along the lines of "I try to reflect the mission statement of the facility in my nursing practice" or some other patient advocacy, the management style and culture of the unit was not in tune with your practice.....some other such thing, then again. "Moving forward I would like to get a certification in......."
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
That was just poetry! Thank you and surprisingly... spot on!
