Got Accepted @ CSU Fresno

I got accepted into nursing progam @ Fresno State for Fall 2011. :):):) Does anyone know when the orientation takes place? I was told by my counselor that it is usally 1 or 2 week before classes start on Aug 22nd. How hard is the program and what about instructors -- r they helpful ?

Any helpful tips for a pre-nursing studnet.

Congratulations. I got accepted too :) for Fall 2011. Anyways, I asked one of my acquaintances who is already in the program about the program. She told me that first semester is really busy and we have to start doing clinicals already. The orientation is 1 week prior the first day of school. She also said that there's A LOT of studying so brace yourself.:) Goodluck!!!

Hi Josh and Jema, congratulation on your acceptance to CSU Fresno. If it isn't too personal, could you please share with me your perequisite GPA and overall GPA when you apply to the nursing program? I'm a currently at Yuba College taking some of the nursing perequisites, and hoping to apply to the CSU Fresno nursing progra in 2012. I recently finished my anatomy course and got a "B" in there. I will take physiology this fall, and micorbiology spring 2012. If I aced those classes, along with my other classes, I will be able to bring up my overall gpa to 3.7 and my perequisites courses to 3.6. What is my chance of getting into the program with this GPA? Thanks in advance, and congratulation once again!

Hello!

For sure :) my GPA for my 8 prereqs to the nursing program is 4.0. The program is very competitive and I suggest you do the best you can to get the best grade with your classes.
