You need to decide where you want to live as that will have a lot of bearing on which university. Cities tend to have high cost of living and International fees may be higher. Living north of the midlands may be cheaper again than the south, so you need to look at where to live as there is no guarantee that you will be able to work whilst a student and will need to show proof of support initially.
ok...hurm i am not decide yet where i want to live but if let say i want to live north of midlands, which university will you suggest to me. What hv you said just now is right but i really want to know about which university?can you give an example for me.thank u
There are many good universities north of the midlands, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool, Huddersfield just to name a few

I live in Liverpool and there are three Universities locally offerring Nursing but I feel one is better equipped than the other two to assist overseas students. You might want to do a search of the cities mentioned by SD & MW to see what area you think meets your needs.
If you think Liverpool is a possibility I would be happy to give my honest appraisal of the three as I have dealings with them all, you are welcome to PM me.
Don't forget Scotland, Wales and Ireland - they too have a lot to offer.
Well I only mentioned a few sure there are many more :thnkg:
hurm how about in wales?

the university of wales is in cardiff, its a good place to be, its in south wales and is an english speaking area unlike some areas in north and west wales. although you would have to put up with the welsh accent !

oi, i resemble that remark....................
there are lots of very good universities in wales, and unlike england you have to apply directly to them, i will give you the contacts but please take note of what i have said at the end of this post.
in south wales you have:
you have the university of wales in cardiff
the university of glamorgan which is in pontypridd
the university of wales in swansea in swansea
then the north of wales offers
the university of wales in bangor
the north east wales institute of higher education in wrexham
there are more in north wales but i can't remember them.
now deeppurple i have just a word of caution, i notice your profile says that you are from malaysia and i don't want to sound negative but could i ask why you want to study in the uk? there are a few reasons for my question.
1. i think that it is going to be incredibly hard for you to get a place in university to study nursing, there are big waiting lists for places and there are uk citizens waiting to get into them. the chance of a university giving you a place over a uk and then eu citizen is tiny.
2. in order to get a student visa you are going to have to prove that you have the means to support yourself so on top of paying the university fees which will be high as you are not uk or eu you will have to prove you have the income to support your studies. you will not be entitled to the bursery because you are not a uk citizen. so unless you have quite a few thousands stashed away somewhere you are either going to have to work full time and study full time which would be extremely difficult, or you will not be granted a visa.
3. you will not get a job at the end of your studies in the uk and unless there is a dramatic change to the state of the nhs in the uk you will have to return to you home country as soon as your studies are finished, employers will not be allowed to give you a job because you will not fall into the catagory of the occupations that are in short supply, there fore you will not be granted a visa to work. i know this because i am responsible for recruiting nurses in my area so am very aware about who i am not allowed to employ. even if i wanted to i couldn't give anyone who is not a uk or eu citizen a job.
unless you are a uk or eu citizen i think that what you are proposing (to study nursing in the uk) is going to be very difficult for you to achieve, and i wonder if you would be better off studying at home.
Sharrie has made some excellent points, if your plan is to stay in the UK and work, I mention this because you do ask about cardiac nursing in another thread, then you are going to find it very hard at the end of your training to find work. Some may say that there is a shortage of nurses and to a degree there is but what I mean is that there isn't enough nurses on the wards but the problem is with management and money not that there is a physical shortage as many nurses as struggling to find work especially if they do not have the option to move.

Please listen to what the two above posters have stated to you. It is very difficult to be able to get into school there now for an actual nursing program, that is going to be quite hard to accomplish. Then the even bigger issue is that you will have difficulties in remaining there to work as they do not have any visas being issued now either.
They actually have hiring freezes in place, and unless you have skills that they need such as in PICU or NICU, it is going to be quite difficult for you to remain there.
I truly suggest that you look at training in your own country first, going to school in another country now does not make it any easier to remain there to work, US is included in this as well.
Best of luck to you.
