For Spring of 2010 at CSN would anyone mind telling their points total? I am curious about this and although I am a couple of semester from applying I feel very ready to take the TEAS exam. Like many others have said, I feel I give myself a great chance of a high score by taking it now and knowing the pressure to pass is off. Just reading the past posts here anyone can get a lot of knowledge and encouragement. I will keep NSC and UNLV in mind but I wanna look at CSN as well. I don't see why if I want to be an RN that any school should be excluded (aside from cost).

I applied with 31 points. From what I've heard through the grapevine, 26 was the cutoff for full-time and 24 was the cutoff for part-time. But if you go to health science advisement they have a list of the past 10 semesters or so that says how many applied, what their scores were, etc.
i'll be there in one year. i was trying to get a feel for the current point total trend. my goal is approximately 27 points (from what i have calculated) and cross my fingers.

You have not read the previous posts...
You apply as soon as you have the pre-requisites complete and every semester there after; never mind counting points!
By all means, take the TEAS test now and take the pressure off to get that crossed off your lists, I took mine almost 6 months to the deadline for fall 2009 application.
I got in with 17 points and my buddy, he got in the part time program with 12 points.... every other student
likes to say that semester was a fluke (the ones who did not apply-and many would blame the lack of TEAS test availability & completion) but honestly, if you are the only one that applies with the pre-req's completed, who is to say that you would not make alternate and get in, sooner than you thought you could?
NEVER listen to the girl in the advisement office.
We would not be starting our 2nd semester in the RN program if we had listened to her...
Many people do not listen to me though. My own cousin blew off who I suggested she take for Bio 189, I have all her lectures recorded and transcribed, and the professor is awesome! She chose to listen to some "guy" in her math 100B class and "rate my professor" even with my offer to help! GO FIGURE.
People do what they think is right. But, I am the only one of my group of friends, (and you do become a group as you complete bio 189, a&p 223, a&p 224 and micro 251) who applied and also got in. I miss them but some of them got in spring 2010 and idk what happ to the others...

It changes every semester. It's hard to predict. I'm thinking though, for future semesters, the points required to get in will probably be a lot lower than in the past semesters. Since nursing is NOT a guaranteed job anymore, less people will be applying. Only the ones that truly want to be nurses will be persistent.
