Ive never been to school for nursing but I would like to take my first step and get my LVN. i would eventually like to have a bsn but thats down the road. anyway I am married to the military so i need a short program that doesnt have a huge wait list because i wont be anywhere long enough to finish anything. my question is what is a good, affordable, private school in southern california that takes around a year to finish the LVN program. I know I can do an LVN-RN later at a junior/community college but for now LVN is good. any suggestions? please be as detailed as possible as i want to start school soon! thanks

Virtually all of the fast-track, private LVN programs in Southern California are in the $20,000 to $30,000 range for tuition. There are plenty of private programs in the area, but they are really not 'affordable.'
You may wish to try your luck and try to get admitted into an LVN program at an adult education school or regional occupational program (ROP).
