Good Florida Travel Agencies???

Published

I know this question has been asked before and I searched it and came up with something relevant but from 4 years ago and want more recent info. I'm an ER nurse with about 2 years now of experience. I wont need to take company housing 'cause I'll be living with my bf there. Any suggestions??? Good experiences?? I've read that florida is a hard state to work in. I've worked in some hard ERs so it wouldn't be anything completely new but of course not preferable to run my ass off and fear for my license every shift with crazy nurse/patient ratios but i've dealt with it before, would very much like to avoid that at all costs. Any info is very much appreciated! Thank you in advance!!

Florida hospitals offer their own "Seasonal Contracts" directly to nurses, at many of their locations such as Tarpon Springs, Tampa, Zephryhills. You could try looking up the bigger hospitals in Florida, such as: Florida Hospital System, Tampa General, and Baycare-they are having an open house November 9th at Baycare Systems for experienced nurses. Also, Baycare offers mobile pool, and 14 week travel contracts. Just search these hospitals specifically for seasonal opportunities. Good Luck.

Florida Hospital has a lot of Travel positions available right now. you can look on at indeed.com, I also know that in lake county florida Leesburg hopital is hiring sesaonal and so it Waterman hosital in tavares florida.

Thank you so much for the information!!

Specializes in ICU.

How much are they paying?

How much is who paying? For what specialty? How much experience? When? Do you just want to know the hourly, or also the housing stipend, M&IE, travel, health insurance, and completion bonus?

It is impossible to get a full and true answer about compensation that relates to you. If you really want to know, you will have to get quotes from several agencies (or from hospital seasonal travel programs). By the way, hospitals usually tax the housing and agencies don't (if you have a tax home) so that makes it more difficult to compare directly.
