I am scheduled to take my AANP FNP test in 4 days (on Tuesday morning) and I am very nervous! I have attended Fitzgerald's live review course in December, I have studied every page of her review book along with the workbook I received at her review course, I bought the Q bank from the APEA and have been taking 2-3 exams a day. I just took a 100 question test on AANP-FNP dot come and scored 63%. I am not confident at all and feel like a looser. I don't have enough time to buy another study tool and review. Any suggestions would help. Thank you!

Probably the best thing would be to work on your confidence. Couple sessions of hypnosis might be the fastest way for you. I just studied the review book and the online questions - might also be best not to focus on too much

I agree with zenman. I wouldn't do any more practice exams/questions. If you haven't done so, look at why you may have gotten the questions wrong (e.g. weakness in certain areas, misread questions/answers, etc.). Rest is super important so that you can think clearly. The test is relatively short, but your brain will be in high gear the whole time. If you have a good grasp of the Fitzgerald material, I think you should be fine. I thought she went into greater depth than the questions on the AANP.
Good luck!

You sound very anxious. You might visit your PCP to see if they can prescribe something for your test anxiety. You also might review the practice test results. Usually they give you a print out of your strengths and weaknesses so you know where to focus your studying. I just took my test last week and passed and I was literally in tears beforehand I was so nervous. Take a deep breath and relax. Best of luck to you.

It sounds like you are prepared for the exam. I passed my AANP Adult -Gerontology cert exam in November. If you are like me, you will never feel adequately prepared because the amount of information is enormous. However, you do know more than you realize. I understand how terrible the anticipatory anxiety can be. Just remember to try to stay calm while taking the test. There were several questions that I really didn't know how to answer, so be prepared for that. However, don't allow yourself to be derailed. Undoubtedly, you will know more than not and the odds are in your favor. You can pass the exam with a relatively low score, I think a 70% or something close to that. Good luck!..........
This too shall pass!
I just PASSED my AANP exam today!!! Thank you all for the advise and kind words. :)

congrats! I remember feeling that way for the NCLEX-PN and again for the NCLEX-RN...I know when my time comes for the AANP or AANC exam I"ll be just as crazy nervous!
Congrats! Not only does it feel good to pass, but also to realize that you don't have to take any more of these types of tests. Good luck with being a NP.
