i hate nursing school. not bc I hate nursing, it has nothing to do with that. I hate the EXTREME STRESS that comes with nursing school. i was in such shambles last semester, it was ridiculous. I think I cried every week! lol as did many of my classmates. what is the deal with nursing school being soooo ridiculously hard? Im convinced it doesnt have to be as hard as theyre making it, at least at my school. In any event, Ive relaxed back to my normal pre-nursing school self now but I know that when that alarm goes off and I have to get out of bed for that first day back into hell, Ill be miserable.

I start my last semester of nursing school next week. And I am dreading only this semester because of a particular reason. Anyway. Nursing school is hard and stressful, but this shall pass. My advice is that think strong, believe in yourself and do your best!
That's what I am going to do also.

I go back to school on Monday.. AFTER 7 WEEKS OFF!!! We had a long break because I am part of an accelerated BSN program. I go into a hardcore 12 week stint of consolidation (med-surg) next week.. waking up at 5am will never be natural.

I'm sorry you feel this way! I'm starting to freak out again myself... Just try to hang in there! What semester will you be starting??
We will all make it and be FINE! Sorry, figured someone had to say it...
I mean, through all the stress.. and crying.. and sleeplessness... what else would you be doing with your life right? :)
Chin up, :) You are going to do great
Im going into my 2nd semester. I barely passed my 1st and whats scares me the most is they said 1st is the easiet and that 3rd (Med/Surg) is the 'weed-out' semester. If I was that stressed and barely made it through 1st, what is this next semester going to be like not to mention the most dreaded, 3rd?

dont psych urself out. ull do fine. make sure you take time for yourself to destress during the semester and stay on top of the work so you wont lose out too much on sleep. thats the real killer, and a lack of sleep just makes EVERYTHING worse

The stress gets me, too. We're all trying so hard and it feels like a tight rope walk where any misstep will send us straight into the yawning abyss of failure.
It's mostly not a tight rope, though. More like a four lane highway with guard rails.

You need to take it one day at a time. Don't focus on a week, two weeks, a month from now. Focus on what you need to get done on the particular day you are living in. After you accomplish all of those tasks, move on. Works for me and NS doesn't stress me out at all.

I start my last semester next week! I am really excited to almost be done with nursing school! I think that is what keeps me going. You should think about something in nursing school that makes you happy, think happy thoughts :)
