should i go for phlebotomy?

I guess this question could be cross-posted in the LPN section, but i really want some IL input.

I am an LPN working for an agency in Chicago. I was thinking about going through a phlebotomy program at a local community college so I can make extra money doing home health blood draws. Does it seem like too much time and money for the return I would be getting. It seems logical to me, but I'd like another opinion.

Also, I am not going to go for my RN (pursuing a different medical degree) and was wondering where I can go in the Chicago-land/northwest suburb area to take a LPN IV certification class. Im not sure where to start looking.

Thanks for your help in advance!!
