I am attempting to start LPN school this year but my only concern is I will not be able to give shots or administer IVs. I am extremely nervous about even the idea of puncturing someones skin. Has anyone ever been in my boat?

i just finished my first semester of RN school ... IV initiation and shots were on the list!
the thought of giving a shot was a bit scary at first. i always wondered, what would happen if i gave a shot, went to dart, and then hit a 'brick wall'-it won't go in! let me tell you, i have given shots since then and they went in with no problem :)
when you get to the point of learning how to do IV's and shots, take the extra time out to practice that way you will feel confident about doing the task.
you will be fine!
