There was speculation in the comments of one story that they went to a Catholic hospice/rehab name began with a V (victory?) as there were comments from the lawyer that they took Jahi to a Catholic facility.

Friends Believe Jahi McMath, "Quiet Leader," is Alive | NBC Bay Area

Arrrrgggh. I looked this up after seeing the posts above. Can we sue NBC for malpractice? They are trying to make Jahi's schoolmates who have been encouraged by the principal (!) to believe they can bring Jahi back by believing a "feel good" story. The principal says she is respecting the family's wishes in taking this position by encouraging the kids to rally around in hopes Jahi will come back as the friendly student-council member she was.

This seems wrong and damaging to these kids. They can't trust adults around them to give them the truth and help them cope with this loss in a sensitive but honest way.

I just saw a comment on that FB page that had me laughing out loud. It said, "She's not dead. She's Life Impaired."

Now, I don't know if this person was serious or was being sarcastic. Either way, that is an awesome comment.

Brilliant! Haha

I haven't been keeping up with this thread' date=' but Grandma said she was suctioning herself AND so was Jahi. On the Jane Velez interview she did. She stuttered and seemed to try to take it back. Did she slip up? Make a mistake?

This interview breaks my heart. Truly you can feel her pain, her confusion and her hope simultaneously. Regardless of the suctioning thing, I can understand why they would initially question the brain death after feeling let down by the doctors. If she is being genuine here, it makes sense. Unfortunately, it doesn't after an entire month has passed. But being caught up in the moment.... I still hurt for their loss, in spite of this ridiculousness that has happened since.

A perfect example of two people viewing the same thing, and developing a totally different opinion of what was seen.

Sometimes I think I've aged into a thoroughly cynical person.

Either that, or I'm older and wiser.

I hadn't seen those comments. Before I saw that lady's post about her grandson, I was leaning towards a palliative care place for kids in Arizona. The news kept saying there was a place in Arizona that was offering to take Jahi. There is a place just like George Mark's called Ryan's place. It's located in Phoenix on the grounds of St Joseph's hospital.

Whenever there is a choice, always go with older and wiser! (I promise no offense will be taken.) That is interesting though, isn't it? I'm the kind of person who is constantly seeking the good in other people. Even those who don't deserve it. Usually it's a good thing, but I can tell you there are times it clouds my judgment, and now could be one of those times.

I couldn't watch the whole thing. Neither of them should be allowed on the air! The grandmother the "nurse" seems to know what she's talking about but there are certain things that make me think twice. When there is bleeding it shouldn't be shrugged off but it depends where the bleeding is & how much. She made it seem like if you have a paper cut & start bleeding you need to freak out. Then about the staff, they do nothing but talk trash about them. I HIGHLY doubt that they brushed the family off. I'm sure they just want someone to blame. Then she said the staff was calm & didn't seem bothered by the bleeding. What did they want, the staff to run around freaking out like chickens with their head cut off. Plus that lady interviewing the grandmother was SO uninformed. She didn't go in for a routine tonsillectomy. Oh! And the grandmother the "nurse" stated they didn't let them go up to the recovery room right away. If she's a nurse she should know why. They had to make sure Jahi woke up from the anesthesia & she was stable. Ugh!

I think I have to agree more with imintrouble on this one. There were quite a few inconsistencies in what Grandma said in the interview and the testimony in the various court documents.
