When it shows up on my local news station you know it's getting out of control. If she's brain dead, she's dead. I know what happened is terrible but the family needs to accept that she's gone. She's not in a coma, she will never come back. They need to just get her off life support, there is no life there.

Yet they decline to release the name of the facility willing to care for the deceased teen. The movements are likely contractures settling in 3 weeks post death. This has most definitely gone too far as the LA Times article declared.

This is obscene. That lawyer should be ashamed of himself. A man with his intelligence, and lacking any personal ties to the child, must understand that the girl is clinically and LEGALLY dead. This is a circus and I expect to see a lot more dead people being kept "alive". It's honestly disturbing.

I have no words to express the disgust I have with the legal system. Now who is playing God? I think if I worked in that PICU I would be resigning. Those poor nurses :( Like Insaid before, this family can say what ever they want...they could have her singing and the hospital can not say a word.

The thing is, the family keeps talking about praying and hoping for a miracle.

It strikes me that if there's to be a miraculous recovery/resurrection, that it would happen irrespective of the presence of the ET tube and ventilator.

Pull the tube and she'll either breathe or not... there will be a miracle or there won't be...

Sometimes, being a nurse we become jaded and see the medical side of a situation. I am guilty of it myself, wondering why do a family member want to put a patient through the unnecessary and harsh procedures to keep them alive, when it is inevitable to us that the patient is going to expire. All the family has is hope, hope that the person is going to pull through, and there is no amount of convincing them otherwise especially if the patient is young. In times like this we just need to be extra considerate of their feelings and have them talk through their emotions and try not to brush off their concerns, I know the question is how long is too long I truly don't have an answer for that, I guess in this case until the judge says terminate or give orders to transfer the patient, but all I know is this little girls situation is not in vain and there will be an investigation and hopefully all was done to save this little girl.

This is just sickening. If several doctors have examined her & declared brain death why do anything more? They are just trying to find a doctor who says she isn't dead. This is ridiculous. What will trying to move her to a different hospital do? I want to see the video of her responding to sound or what they think is her responding. The lawyer & judge should be be embarrassed of their actions. I hope they stop extending the restraining order.

It's going to get to a point where they will stop extending it...
