Getting Ready to Graduate.... jobs?

Published

So I am getting ready to graduate from an AAS program in May. I have been trying to get a job with local hospitals as a ED tech, NA, Unit Clerk... whatever, to get my foot in the door. I have been unsuccessful in securing a job thus far. I have hired someone to write a professional resume for me. I am hoping that will help my cause. In the meantime, I need to consider other options. If you weren't able to get a RN position out of school, what did you do job-wise or what do you suggest? Should I continue to apply for NA positions? Should I get my CNA certification? I am so confused and frustrated at this point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as i'm aware, you have to work much harder to find a job, both as unlicensed personnel, and with only an associate's degree. I think you're doing all the right things, and ultimately persistence will get you a lot in life. :)
