no, I haven't received anything from them or the OIG. About once a month I check the OIG list to make sure I'm not on it.

Its strange why you got that. We seem to be in the same situation with similar stories. What did the letter from NPDB say?

Just starting this process in Indiana. Glad to know I may have options for a job when I figure out what in the heck is going to happen to me. Kinda freaking out.

In my case, about 1 week after I was fired I received a call from a detective to come in and give my statement. About 2 weeks after that he called me back and told me I had a warrant and to turn myself in, which I did. About a week after that I received a call and an email from the AG with a date and time to go in front of the BON, which was like a 3-4 day notice.

From the day I was fired and the day I went in front of the BON was 34 days. Did your employer say they were going to report you? Maybe they didn't. From what I've heard and in my case Indiana goes pretty quickly.

Did you self report to INPRP? If you did, maybe you won't need to go in front of the BON.

I do know that when you renew and check yes to the "arrested " question they usually have you go in front of them. I've already been through it all, over a year ago, and I will still be asked to go in front of them AGAIN when I renew, even though I'm already in INPRP and my license is on probation.

Did you have to do any jail time? We have very similar stories. I’m freaking out now. Just needing some reassurance that my life as I know it isn’t over.

yes, the detective called me and told me I had a warrant. So I went downtown and turned myself in. I was there overnight ( about 16 hours total). That was the lowest time in my life! I spent the next 3 months on the couch not eating, barely showering. Then I started my INPRP required therapy and IOP and I love my therapist and she helped me so much.

It took 12 months until I started another job and began to feel normal. Sometimes I go days and forget I'm even on probation but then I have to test and I'm like, oh yeah, I'm a nurse on probation in INPRP.

I promise things will get better!!

Thank you so much for your response. I am in for a long road. I am so full of shame at this time. I’m so glad to know it does get better.

@Indiana I had same charges as Indiana RN but I did not do any jail time, I started INPRP in October and was not charged until December. I think it helps if you start earlier. Everyone case is a little different but I do know getting in INPRP as soon as possible is the best way to go as it will be inevitable if you story is similar to ours. :) It gets better!!!!!!

Thank you. I have my intake evaluation on the 22nd. Already starting that process, just so worried about what lies ahead. Trying to keep my head up.
