hello all
looking for a little advice-
first a little history-i was a paramedic for 12 years-got my rn-worked in the er right out of school for 1 year and 2 months-then had a series of knee surgeries that has kept me out for a year-have kept up with credentials/classes etc-
i'm wondering do i go straight back to the er or spend a little time up on med surg or another area of the hospital to rehone my skills-
thanks--beaujacques

Go back to the ER. You've got enough experience as a paramedic to get you back in there.

If you liked the ED then go back! I took almost 1 year off for a high risk pregnancy then maternity leave. I went right back to my job in the unit .... it's like riding a bike. You have all the knowledge, you'll be fine!
thanks ya'll--good advice--i appreciate it!
