Hi everyone, I just want to know if is it possible for me to work in Texas if my license is from New Mexico.. I'm currently living in California, but can't take the nclex RN because of the concurrency issue.. Still can't decide if to challenge LVN in CA or take RN in new mexico.. need some advice..

Only if you endorse license from one state to another. Other option is maintain primary residency in NM and live temp in TX as long as both states are part of the compact states agreement.Personally I would say better to apply straight to Texas BON

Where do you really want to work is the answer to your question, regardless of your license , if TX is the state you want to raise a family or bring the family to, then, TX it is with your RN license.
If CA is the preferred state, then you go for the LVN license, knowing the concurrency issue.
As far as taking the NCLEX-RN in TX, have you looked at their BON website? You can simply Google TX Board of Nursing and there it is and you can look at the very bottom of each AN page.
