Do any of you let family members sleep over? I'm not talking about sitting with a resident who is about to die. As a 1:1? In a chair? In a bed?
We have a family room that is used for family who is out of town and would like to stay the night. The room is mostly intended for those who are activily dying but we really do not turn anyone away. If the resident has a private room, we do our best to accomadate the family that wants to stay over. We also have an assisted living nearyby and looking at having an apartment open for families who need to stay for a few days. There is no hotel in our town, I believe the closest one is over 30mins away so that is why we are looking at the apartment.
