Into and salary question

  1. Hello all,
New to the site this afternoon. I have a question for all Long Term Care DONs out there. I am trying to compare wages for my own personal use.
Anyone willing to share, wage, years of experience etc. I would greatly appreciate. Thank you Rosdan2000

Welcome aboard, rosdan2000. I moved your post to the Geriatric and LTC Forum so that you get more responses. Good luck!

I'm in Canada so I don't know how much this helps:
LPN - starting rate 17.45 increases for every year worked and top up for education and years of service ect.. Casuals make 21.00.
I think the RN's generally start out at 25.00 and have top ups as well. It all depends where we work around here and if the place is unionized. I worked years ago for a private home care agency that only paid 10.00 and I think they pay 14.00 now but there was no union and they were small.
