I have looked at Lowe's/Wal-Mart/Online & cannot find them. My mother-in-law has Parkinson's & has fell twice this week in the bathtub. She has the non-skid rubber mat but the suction does not hold & I thought if I could find the abrasive strips that it would help her. Does anyone know where I could buy them?? Thanks!

Off-topic...

My husband says the grocery store, btw. I hope your mom-in-law doesn't hurt herself in the meantime.

perhaps a shower chair and an assist for showering may be a better thing than just the non skids... a Grab bar may be a good idea too...

those non skids can be found in hardware stores

Thanks she does have the grab bars but the coordination is just not there to use them very effectively. I have also suggested the chair.......but you know how it is when its not your Mother. I thought at least if I could find these strips it might help.... I will check out the hardware stores. :wink2:

True Value Hardware sells slip resistant strips and the product on how to remove them as well. They will not sell online any longer, however.

Good luck!!

I pulled my back 7 times during one shower from slipping, with those strips. If you use them, buy lots and put them really close together.

Sorry to read about her fall. Hope I don't sound too cheap but I see them at the dollar store all the time. I bough little whales a while back and you wouldn't believe how great they are. Best wishes to you. :)

I love the dollar store. :p

Thanks everybody, she has not been hurt yet........its just so sad she loves to take a bath & now of course is scared to death of falling again. I have suggested everything you all have mentioned........... I just don't understand people sometime. I do know if I buy these & stick them on then at least they will be used! By the way I love the Dollar Store too! :)

We have little fish that are applied almost like stickers. They don't have the suction cups on them and once they are put on they seem to be permanent. I think they came from Wal-Mart; they've been there for a long time now.
