GPC Math online

Its like the other online classes. you have to teach yourself. If you are good at math then it will be easy. If you are not good at math do not take it online.

I agree with Elizz. I took all of my math class online at GPC and did okay except for statistics. I wish I would have taken that on campus because it was extremely difficult.

I started at GPC with taking 1 face to face classes for math (97 because I was out of school for 10 years and math is NOT my strong point)

I did take 98 online with a great teacher named Sandee House and got a B and am taking her for 1101 over this summer both online. I realized that I do much better with math and am actually got at it when it is 7 weeks as opposed to several months because I retain the information and can get to the lab at least once a week for help with homework and you will you a math program call "my math lab" which is an addition cost only about $40.00 but I think it comes with the book if you buy a new book but if I remember correctly I found it cheaper to buy a used text and buy the code to access the mathlab site from the website directly as opposed to buying the next text.

I have taken ever other single class at GPC online and got the HOPE scholarship and really enjoy it. This summer I will have to take a lab face to face for 3 hours a week blah because I did take that online and i was supposed to buy so many materialy it would have been a few hundred dollars and I was supposed to go to the school once a week to look at rock samples so it wasnt the ideal online class and it was the only online class I ever dropped (that was for physical geology though)

I will fininsh my business degree this summer befor I start my nursing prereqs at Kennesaw (hopefully) in the fall!

Yes the statistics is still a hard course online. I took the midterm today and did OK. I sat with my online tutor yesterday and he really got me prepared for today's exam. He comes highly recommended.

I took Stats and I found it to be easy, the Online Math Lab is great and it walks you through the steps. I got an A in it. It really depends on how comfortable you are in taking it online and the teacher that you have.

HEY! :) i need your help. I'm also thinking about taking 2 classes at GPC online because i'm going to the alpharetta campus and it doesnt have microbiology or A&P 2 and i dont want to drive to dunwoody. do you think i could get an A at the online class? is there videos of the professor talking or do you just take the tests online? this sounds really dumb but i just dont know how online classes work.
