Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

That helps ALOT!! Thanks!
I went to the uniform shop yesterday. They are SO nice. I have to say that I LOVE the royal blue color. We should look very nice:) Also, I bought a pair of the nursemate shoes...VERY comfortable and a great price. I have a pair of dansko (in black) which cost ~115 dollars.
Oh, the nurse mates were about 70 dollars...

Great info! I am excited about the color. I can't wait until we can start clinicals and actually get a real feel for our new career paths!!! I am going to go to Lynn's uniform shop next week, when I go to register(it's a long drive, I am going to do it at once: kill 2 birds, 1 stone)...I am also considering getting a new hairstyle, for new chapter in my life! Yeah!
Does anyone know why the announcement on the nursing website states that we will have 40 in NURS 2204 and 40 in NURS 1101? Why wouldn't we all start with NURS 1101? I am confused

I did the same thing! I cut my hair too.
I wonder if that means that they are increasing the number of students who will be taking NURS 2204 to 40 also. (You know, the ones who have already completed NURS 1101 and will be starting NURS 2204).
I bet that explains what the whole scheduling issue was about...the one where Dr. R told me that it depended on what section we were put into as to what our schedule would be.
There was an article in the Rome newspaper this week about Floyd Medical Center partnering up with Shorter College. I wonder if that means that only Shorter College students will be allowed to do clinicals at Floyd. ???
Does anyone know the ~amount of students that applied for fall and how many total were accepted?
Don't know...would be interesting to know though.

We find out about the Marietta program Aug 4th according to the handout. I ordered and have received most of my books through amazon saving about $600. I am ordering a littman master classic and will probably have my name engraved on it. I ordered my scrubbs today from Lynn's. I have to buy shoes and a watch and maybe a few other things I can't think of off the top of my head.
and fyi, after you see the size of the med-surg book you may want to invest in a rolley bag. I am seriously considering it.
