Chattahoochee Technical College Spring 2013

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

I was just wanting to see how my fellow students are doing with applying and having to wait till October to find out if we got accepted into the program starting Spring 2013.

How did everyone do on their TEAS?

Any questions or concerns?

Hey guys! I am also applying for spring semester. I have a 3.8 obiously that doesn't matter though when I have a 58 on the teas exam. :(

Welcome Georgiagirl! That is a great GPA, you have the same as me!

The TEAS score is quite low... did they tell you that you can take it a second time before last semester was over?! You still qualify though! 54% was the lowest you could get, and I already told everyone else that I have a friend who only had 16 students qualify for the seats for Summer 2012 program when they should have had 24- OUT OF 113 students that applied! So as long as you have everything else done - you DEFINITELY still have a chance!!! :yeah:

Georgiagirl18 I wouldn't even worry about it! You have above minimum for both and your GPA is wonderful. The good thing about the LPN program is you don't have to wait so dang long to reapply. Best wishes to you! :yeah:

Thanks so much! I think the scores had to be in this month so I did not have time to retake the exam. I wish there was a way we knew how many were actually eligible!

Hey Guys,

I have been M.I.A. for a few days.....anyways, Welcome Georgia Girl! Great GPA. I just had a question about the TEAS....you all are saying the min is 54%, did they tell you all that in the Info Session???? The reason I asked is because the website says 70. Just wondering....

Welcome Kalyn....Best of luck to you as well, great GPA and score! See you in class on Wednesday:nurse:

Hey Ladies! I have another present for you all! This is a page you definetly want to bookmark. When you get in the program Pharmacology/ Dosage Calculations is your first class, so here is a link to a helpful site that will help with this class.

Okay Erica you are definitely getting a Christmas card from me this year!!!!! ;-) You are a plethora of valuable information. What I got from the info session was the minimum TEAS score would be whatever is the national average.

Yes at the info session they told us we had to have minimum the posted National Program Average, which is printed on you TEAS V after you take the test. Which currently is at 54%. Now- the advisors want you to make in the 80's or above because that is what is considered "competitive"... meaning that if there is 27 students eligible for a seat and there is only 24 seats they will choose the 24 students with the highest TEAS score instead of GPA... does that make sense. TEAS score is kind of the tie breaker.

Don't quote me on that. You may want to ask a health care advisor exactly how to explain it. But yes they go over it at an info session!!
