Now my only concern is paying the balance that is leftover after financial aid is all takin care of. Has anyone who completed financial had a balance leftover they had to pay for out of pocket??? How did you manage to pay each month?

I'm sorry that has happened to a lot of us. There are a couple of options. One if you, or you and a consigner such as a husband or guardian (sorry don't know your age) have good credit you can apply for additional loans through sallie mae. If that's not an option then they try and make the money you payments doable, so you will have to find time to work. My suggestion is something like nannying if you don't already have a job, because most of the time school lets out after we are finished and you can pull $250-$350 a week for expenses and your payments

Thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it. This is the first time I have went to school and had to worry about financial aid. I never had to pay out of pocket. The financial aid advisor said that it's because of the school being a private institute.

Well each persons situation will be different. I had to pay out of pocket for 8 months. The amount changed for me halfway thru and got lower thank goodness. it varies based on how many credits you're taking. It's tough considering some people have to adjust their work schedules according to school so income is tight. So start saving those pennies now! :)

Thanks you are right, I am still coming up with solutions to pay the monthly balance. I am pass good at braiding so I think I would braid children hair for money on the weekend, it's less time consuming. Maybe try to do a min of 5 a day for 2 days or 3 a week.

The reason i have not been able to get in contact with MY financial aid rep to finish for 3 weeks is because she is no longer with them so i don't know what's happening with my aid or anything. School in 3 weeks!

They will have financial aid people to do your paperwork at orientation.

That is a great idea. Any bit helps. Any creative ideas you have because you can't pass up the chance of going back to school!

Everyone rest assured. Just show up for orientation and everything you need to know, need to have done, paperwork, financial aid, questions, class schedules, everything...will be done at orientation. Plan to stay for some hours, though. It's a full day. Bring a pen, too. :) and don't bring extra people. Won't be room for them. Don't forget to look for your BCANS officers, as well!

It doesn't say any classes for me yet :(

Hi everyone that got there Feb 2013 acceptance letters. I just logged onto the Kaplan quad and they have the courses and time listed that I would need to be taking this term. Go on there to see if they have something listed for your schedule.
