Hi Tiffany,

It took me forever to get my letter! I originally applied for spring 2004 but got in for fall 2004 and received my letter in May (3 months before school started). I think it can take a while. Don't panic.

Thank you for responding. I'm trying not to worry but this is so stressful! Thanks again

We were told in an Info session that the committee met and made decions last Monday. Those applicants with a 3.0 GPA in the three sciences (A & P I and II and Micro) along with a 3.0 overall and a 60 on the NET reading and 60 on the NET composite were accepted.

They are also offering a pre-nurse course to help with the nurse curriculum. It includes medical terminology, shadowing a nurse, critical thinking, math for nursing and something else. I don't have the paper in front of me, so I forgot the others. It's a 2 credit course and it not manditory but highly recommended.

I hope this helps.

No, I haven't. I do not think that I got in. But I am not worried I'll try again next semester if not. If I do have to wait to apply in the fall I will also be finished with all my pre-reqs for my BSN at Georgia State in the fall. So I am trying to look at the bigger picture and not get my hopes up!

Good for you. I'm freaking out after reading all the horrible things about the gpc nursing program. Well, I'll give it a try anyway. I'm eyeing Kennesaw, but it's quiet a drive for me. i'm just upset that I don't know any students from Europe entering the nursing program at gpc because we like to stick together.

Good luck with the Georgia State!:) I guess it's much better school!

I don't look at it at being a much better school because if I get into GPC I will definetly leave GSU. I think someone will have something horrible to say about every nursing school. Just do what you have to do to obtain your goal. Again Congratulations!

I recv'd my acceptance letter a few weeks ago. I must decide today and turn in my deposit...I just don't know what to do, I'm so afraid:uhoh21: !!!

I've heard so many horror stories and I'm sure it's probably hard wherever you go, I just don't want to throw myself into the frying pan if I don't have to.
