Georgia Board Approval for LPN with old misdemeanor

I am looking for some insight from those who have personally been through the Georgia LPN licensing process from anyone who has had an old conviction (15+ years). Mine in particular is a misdemeanor.

I have passed my NCLEX and I am now waiting for the licensing process to be completed. I understand that the process takes longer for folks like me however, the LPN Board office is very vague in giving an indication of the time required to process this situation. I am not really concerned about being denied a license, however I have secured employment and can't start until my license is issued. The people at the board are very nice but very vague.

If you've personally been through this process, can you give me some guidance as to how long it took to process your license? Weeks? Months? Years?

Again, for the sake of my sanity, please only respond if you truly have experience in this state.
