I am making this thread because I am applying (VERY VERY EARLY) for GBCON! I have spoken with an advisor (******) and have sent my unofficials to her to be evaluated. I dont have the highest overall GPA and I would not like that to determine my acceptance. I am working hard to bring it up the most I can. I am registered to take the TEAS in September so I am currently busting my butt studying for it. I am also working on my essay. I need It to be perfect. The great thing about Mercer is that they dont just worry about your GPA or TEA scores, They look at it all! Even with my low GPA and not having completed AP1/2 or even Microbiology, Abigail still said I will be a competitive nursing applicant because of my work experience (I work at GMCD as a Unit Secretary/ Patient Care Tech in the OR)
I have a full course load this semester and next but the advisor STILL told me to apply ASAP, The earlier the better. The only thing she mentioned was that I would not receive an acceptance letter till my TEAS scores were submitted.
The faculty at GBCON IS AMAZING and so sweet! they answer any and every question you ask!!! Cant wait to hear from anyone who is applying for FALL 2017
lol I know right . I keep thinking about it but I talked to somebody yesterday and she said we would know by the end of this month but idk if they will send mail or email so keep checking both. @RNyurizar
@AMB22 Hey girl! Sorry I'm just now seeing your message! I am currently looking into living with two other girls that also got accepted into the program but I know many people look into living at Sterling Oaks near campus or the Brookhaven, Sandy Springs, or Midtown area.
@Kimanh_ I finished submitting my docs the week before the deadline so I'm still waiting to hear back from them. When I called they said we would know something by the end of this month which is soon.
I submitted mine about a week before the deadline and my essay I emailed them the day of June 1st. I didn't get any update if I got waitlist like you guys.. I'm getting really anxious. My stats are kind of low...
Kimanh_ your stats are pretty good compared to mines lol . I am a transferred student so I started submitting everything early but I waited until the week before the deadline to submit my money order. I got waitlisted and then I called last week and they said we will know if we officially got in or not by the end of this month. I'm getting nervous and keep checking my email lol
I check my email like 100x a day it's sad because I've never in my life done that but I hope we find out by the end of this week praying and hoping! I think they waited to see who showed up to orientation this Friday in order to see how many spots are open that's my guess!
Yes that's exactly what I was thinking. I hope there are enough seats available so we can get in because I need this sooooo bad. I'm patiently waiting. I will keep you updated as soon as I hear something. Please let me know when you get a letter or email.
