I am making this thread because I am applying (VERY VERY EARLY) for GBCON! I have spoken with an advisor (******) and have sent my unofficials to her to be evaluated. I dont have the highest overall GPA and I would not like that to determine my acceptance. I am working hard to bring it up the most I can. I am registered to take the TEAS in September so I am currently busting my butt studying for it. I am also working on my essay. I need It to be perfect. The great thing about Mercer is that they dont just worry about your GPA or TEA scores, They look at it all! Even with my low GPA and not having completed AP1/2 or even Microbiology, Abigail still said I will be a competitive nursing applicant because of my work experience (I work at GMCD as a Unit Secretary/ Patient Care Tech in the OR)
I have a full course load this semester and next but the advisor STILL told me to apply ASAP, The earlier the better. The only thing she mentioned was that I would not receive an acceptance letter till my TEAS scores were submitted.
The faculty at GBCON IS AMAZING and so sweet! they answer any and every question you ask!!! Cant wait to hear from anyone who is applying for FALL 2017
@RNyurizar no girl not yet. I keep checking my email but I haven't heard anything. Have you heard anything or have any updates on when we will know? I called Monday and the lady told me we will know soon but I haven't yet.
@RNyurizar omg July is so long but I'm already applying to other schools for the spring as a back up plan too. I hope we both get in at GBCON. I will keep you updated as soon as I hear something.
We should call Monday again and see what they tell us I want to know already...I have so many exams I need to focus on too and this stress is not letting me!
Girl yes, I completely understand. I feel the same way. I wish I knew something because that's all I keep thinking about. I will call again Tuesday and see what I can find out because waiting for a decision is so stressful right now. I want be able to think straight until I know something smh @RNyurizar
Girl yes, mines too. I'm patiently waiting and I keep checking my email. I know they having their 2nd orientation this Friday June 16th so we should be knowing next week or week after. I'll keep you updated.
