Does anyone work within the Tidelands Health system? If so, would you recommend it? If not, why not? I am seriously looking into employment opportunities in the area and would like to "filter" the area in my search. I've been a nurse for a year and work in med/surg and mental health (PRN) but started out in Pediatrics.

Thank you in advance!

Specializes in Hospital medicine; NP precepting; staff education. Has 20 years experience.

I've been with the system for about 7 years. I'm planning on staying there for several more. I like the encouragement for higher education and support I receive while I am in grad school. Namely, my director allows me to make my schedule around my practicum and I feel valued. We have a rigorous clinical ladder and I'm on tier III. I'm on several committees and am proud we received the pathway to excellence award.

Hey! Which tidelands do you work at? I'm hoping to get a job at Waccamaw come October.
