Graduate school transfer credits

  1. I am seeking assistance with locating an online FNP program that will accept credits from another FNP program. I received 30 credits with a GPA of 3.5 in a FNP program but had to withdraw due to job/family relocation. It seems so unfair that I have to start a program from scratch. Many of the programs I have inquired only accept 6-9 credits. At this point I would be beyond happy if a program accepted 16-20. I look forward to hearing from all of you. Desperate fellow nurse

That's tough. I take it the FNP program you withdrew from is not online? Maybe someone else who has found otherwise can chime in, but getting up to 6-9 transfer credits into any graduate program seems to be the standard (or even no transfer credits). A reason often cited for this is that X number of credits must be earned at that particular institution in order to satisfy degree requirements. Good luck!
