"The minute you think of giving up, think of the reason why you held on so long."

"Listen more, talk less."

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." Dr. Seuss

"Always be a little kinder than necessary." J.M. Barrie

"No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another." Charles Dickens

"I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." Bill Cosby

"Do what you feel in your heart to be right--for you'll be criticized anyway." Eleanor Roosevelt

"Don't stumble over something behind you."

I know that's a lot, but sometimes you need a different one for each day. ;)

hakuna matata :)

and

Smile though your heart is aching

Smile even though it's breaking.

When there are clouds in the sky

you'll get by.

If you smile through your fear and sorrow

Smile and maybe tomorrow

You'll see the sun come shining through

For you.

Light up your face with gladness,

Hide every trace of sadness.

Although a tear may be ever so near

That's the time you must keep on trying

Smile, what's the use of crying.

You'll find that life is still worthwhile-

If you just smile

I'm always telling myself, "Fake it til you make it!"

If that is too small to read, one of my favorite mantras is

"ATTITUDE IS 90% of EVERYTHING!!"

Others favorites include great quotes about perservance.

I personally believe, more than anything else,

our own attitude, and our perseverance, matter most.

To get serious:

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world" (Gandhi)

WHAT A GREAT THREAD!! Thank you to the OP for starting this one!! whooooot!!!

OH, another one, i like, goes something like, "we rarely succeed at things we don't have fun doing."

okay, maybe not so applicable to nursing, but, pursuing fun

matters too.

One thing at a time

Be a duck. (As in, let it roll off your back.) :D

Mine is God never gives you more than you can handle.

This is and all things are possible through him....... These have both proven true over and over again recently as God smacked me in my face to go back and finish school and keeps somehow making things work, days by day. Even when IM sure it's not going to. Everyday it does.

"It'll get better."

(I am now very pleased to hear my grandchildren hearing that from their parents :) )
