So i'm trying to do a RN to BSN program right after I graduate my ADN program. I have 5 semesters (including summer) of nursing classes. Summer Is full with nursing 5 and Microbiology-4. But the other semesters I have 10 credit hours with nursing and was wondering how many you guys have taken at a time with nursing classes and not been too overwhelmed?

I still have:

1. Foreign language (2 classes)

2. Statistics

3. Art appreciation

4. Communication

and #1,2 can be taken while i'm in the BSN program. I just don't want to overwhelm myself and get bad grades

Thanks everyone!

I always took between 14-16 credits per semester in college. I was in a traditional 4 year BSN program and 15 credits/semester was the average for full-time students.

To be full time and receive financial aid, you had to be taking at least 12 credit hours at my university (4-year BSN). I usually took 16, but took 12 my first and last semesters as a break. Make sure you look at the policies of your program to ensure you're not putting any financial aid at risk taking less than full time hours.

Here in Mass, you have to be going at least half time to get financial aid which is what I'm doing.... School, work, and a three year old don't allow me to do more...don't bite off more than you can chew!
