In April of 2002 I was up to a whopping 180 and really lost the first 31 lbs quite easy. Actually I had lost down to 138 and have gained back in the past couple of months because I completley quit the diet thing and started pigging out again. Anyway I need to lose 24 more pounds to reach my ultimate goal weight. And I would love toreach that before my next anniversary in Febuary. When we got married some9.5 years ago I was barely 115 but after 2 kids and no excersizing, I went up to almost 200 lbs!!! I am starting my diet back tommorrow morning (actually tonight since I work third shift). I look forward to keeping up with everyones progress!!

Right now I weigh 220 (I think). My start weight was 242 in June of this year. During the summer, I walked a lot. Now though, school and work have closed back in on the schedule and I'm sure my weight is going back up again.
Gotta start walking again!!!!!!
Oct 21, '02Joined: Sep '02; Posts: 15It's definitely nice to read these posts. I myself am trying my hardest to do this important life changing process. I am 22 yrs. old, 5'6", and as of the last time I weighed myself it was 267lbs. And to top it all off I'm one of those thick, big boned, broad, full of mass type person. Blessed with my fathers bulky body shape, lol. I bought Taebo Live, and did it last Monday..was going good, then I had a "thing" happen with my job and I'm off for a little while and trying to find a new job in the process, and I completely let go of what I was doing. Quit the workouts, and picked back up my old eating habits.
It's amazing what stress and negative thinking can do to ones ego. Not a good thing. But you guys make me feel a little better about myself. The sad part about it is...I know I CAN do it!! But yet I sit around and keep up the same old routines.
Anyways, Thanks for putting up with my venting.
On a better note I will be starting an LPN program very soon and I can't wait to get into school, so I can finally make my dream of a being a nurse come true.

But I have decided its beyond time toget serious again. I have a big wedding party to go to very soon and I need to try and get off at least a few pounds before then!! Dieting is a hard thing to do when you've grown comfortable in your shoes! Let me know any little secrets to getting it off!!
Oct 21, '02Joined: Sep '02; Posts: 910; Likes: 9hi all. I thought I would jump on this thread since it is not what I thought it would be. So, here are my stats and how I need to lose weight. I am 5'4, 150 lbs. Wear a size 8-10, depending on the brand. I can't say that I really feel that I have a weight problem except that according to the bmi, I am over my ideal weight by 6 lbs. I don't mind being a little thick, but I do worry about heart disease since it runs in my family as well as cancer. This time last year, I was down to about 142 from about 165 (Had a baby that was six months old by this time.) I have to say, I thought I looked pretty spiffy. Anyways, when I got down to 142, I was working two part time jobs, in school, taking care of the kids, house, and hangin' with the friends. I just didn't have time to think about food. After I quit both jobs, I gained the eight pounds over the year.
To lose the six pounds, I have started to eat meat only every other day, drink herbal tea vs. soda, do my bike, and use the stairs instead of the elevator.
Good luck, will keep you posted.

I've always lost 20 lbs, only to gain it back again (PLUS SOME), but I'm getting desperate! If anyone has an opinion from actually trying it please let me know! Heather
Oct 23, '02Joined: Sep '02; Posts: 19Hi everyone.
I have recently joined weight watchers and it is great! I was sick of not losing weight so I decided to do something about it. This is only my first week, but I have lost 2.5 lbs! I like the point system bc it keeps me structured and I know I have a limit of how much I can eat. You all should try it.
Plus, they have a student rate of only $9!
I'll keep you updated on how I do
