I got the call yesterday...apparently several people have decided against starting school this fall and I have been able to get a spot. I'm really happy...but then I got scared at the same time. This is what I have wanted for so long and now here it is. Just last week I posted about throwing the towel in because it just didn't seem like anything was going to come through...so to all of you who have been given alternate status or put on a waiting list...good things are still very possible. :balloons:

Congratulations! It sounds like you are in the same boat as most of us- you just can't wait to get in, and when you finally do, you're scared and nervous and every other emotion at the same time. Good luck, and just stick it out with the rest of us! :)

Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you!

I know EXACTLY what you mean about the joy/fear combo. I just got my fall schedule yesterday, and I'm THRILLED to start, yet hoping the day doesn't get here. Strange, because we work so hard to get where we are, then the bundle of nerves takes over.

Wow! How wonderful!! Your post gave me hope. Hopefully, I too will be getting a call

offering me a spot. This waiting list stuff really sucks!!

Congratulations!

I just got my "alternate" letter yesterday... I felt like someone punched me in the stomach... :o

I called this morning and talked to the person who adds up the scores (I was so certain that they used the wrong GPA or something, LOL) and she went over my scores (the score she had was actually higher than the score I had calculated!) She told me that this year it's the highest scores she's seen so far, and there's several people in front of me on the waiting list. :crying2:

I am sooo disappointed, so thanks for letting us know your triumph, Mtto! Congratulations--- :balloons: :balloons:

Maybe there's still hope for me yet!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Take heart, at least your school told you there were several people ahead of you. My school won't give us any clue about our positioning on the waiting list. Maybe we'll both be as fortunate as the OP.
