Trying to get back to school in Pennsylvania. Advice?

Hello, everyone!

I was hoping to find some advice here regarding getting back into nursing school, or a CNA to RN bridge program.

I used to attend Grand Canyon University for nursing school, I ended up being kicked out due to low grades as well as a large medical problem that I refused to acknowledge. I could have, and probably should have, gone on medical leave...but I was stubborn in the worst of ways.

I was actually doing quite fine until my abnormal psychology class, and it turns out ignoring PTSD developed from date rape really doesn't make it go away. It took me too long, and it wasn't until I was kicked out due to low grades that I finally decided to seek medical help (which was for the best, as I might reluctantly conclude. Can't take care of people if you don't care of yourself).

What crushed me most is that I was two semesters away from graduating and going for my NCLEX exam.

I ended up getting my CNA license and have been working ever since. I still want to become an RN, and am trying to figure out if nursing schools take other nursing courses from an accredited university or if work experience facilitates at all in getting into nursing schools.

I don't want to start from the bottom, but if I have to, I have to.

I'm currently looking at Gannon University and PennState's Behrend for nursing school, so if anyone has experience with these schools, I'd love to hear from you.
