I start nursing school in less than 24 hours:barf01: I am so nervous! I am just taking a break from reading my student handbook which I doubt I will get all through today. I know. I should already had it read. However, it was just posted and I just flew home last night. Guess this is a very small kick off to "read till your eyes bleed!":lol2: Any one else starting tomorrow?

I start tommorrow too! Although we had an orientation day last week. Got our syllabus and first reading assignment! I'm taking a little break from all that reading before I go back to it. Good luck to you! Take some deep breathes, remember everyone else is just starting too & probably feeling somewhat the same!

I start Tuesday, so yeah, I feel like I could :barf02: I don't recall being this scared about anything, except maybe childbirth!! Part of me is so excited I feel like screaming, but another part wishes I still had 6 months till classes start. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!! ;) Let me know how it goes that way I can possibly know what to expect Tues.

omg! i'm starting wednesday and i feel like that already! i so cannot imagine what it will be like for me when i get to the under 24hr mark! right now i cannot bend my mind over the first two sentences in the reading assignment.

good luck everyone:biere:

Good Luck & congratulations!!!!!! I feel your pain! I am graduating in Dec......it will be fine for you guys! You will make great friends! And remember when you start taking care of patients.....don't ever forget to ask them how they are feeling first of all before you do anything.....they will really appreciate it..I had a lady who I first cared for who mentioned no one ever asked her this.........was kind of an eye opener....And always talk to your patients even if they seem to not know whats happening.......I have a child who is non verbal and a quadraplegic and I cannot emphasize enough the importance of talking to them with every single thing you do.......just try to imagine yourself blindfolded and unable to do anything then having someone just come over & start poking & prodding you or just doing stuff and not even acknowledging the patient.......not fun!

You will go far if you remember these two things...........! Good luck & don't worry!!!!!;)

I am starting tomorrow too! Very nervous and excited. I need to get my butt in the bed but I just cant do it yet! I am ready to get the first day in though, just to get a feel for my teachers and things like that. I am really hoping to meet some nice people and make some good friends. Good luck to you all who are starting tomorrow!

I almost barfed for 3 days before I started (last week). I was literally dry heaving. LOL.

Trust me you'll still wanna barf even when you get there. Ive been through my first week already and I just sit in class going "is this real?" It soooo surreal. They're gonna put you right to work so be ready.

Great post Kellie. Thanks.

I start tomorrow too and I am feeling the butterflies (or giant killer moths). They have been in there for weeks now and I guess that is why I've lost five pounds. I am super excited but so nervous about how everything will go and actually assessing and help treat patients in just over a month. I got my books last week and I have spent every bit of time I could reading. I made it almost through the first four days reading assignments. I am trying to get and ahead and stay ahead. Read till your eyes bleed is how it seems it will be. There were 8 chapters to read for just one day. I am so excited to become a nurse though. I know it will all be worth it. I just have to get over my nervousness. I better go get some rest!!! Good Luck to everyone.

Hello everyone!!! I start in 10 hours. I can hardly wait. I have caught up on everything that I could possibly think of. Laundry, organizing, cleaning the kids' bedrooms and playroom, setting alarms. I am so ready that I think it may be a dream. We have 4 days of getting familiar with the program and the teachers so this week won't be so bad. I think my entire family is on pins and needles just waiting for me to start. WooHoo:yeah:

I start tomorrow at noon and I go from being excited one minute, to terrified the next, then just a little nervous. My DH is ready to send me now, though, cuz I'm pretty cranky!! I'm never going to get any sleep tonight!!
