Sinking or swimming???

I just wondered if anyone feels like they are sinking in Nursing school? I feel that way sometimes...okay alot of the time. We had a Physical assessment, nutrition paper, Nursing diagnosis cluster sheet, and a plan of care due uesterday. 3 rd test on Monday and I have to move this weekend...I am freaked. I'm not sure if I am gonna pass this one and I really feel as if I am treading water about to go under....anyone else????/

Robin, YES!!!! I didn't feel that way until this quarter and now it is only one clinical but it is making me miserable. The prof doesn't know how to give *constructive* criticism and instead likes to belittle us and make us feel stupid. No matter how much we know it isn't enough. We have to research our patients the night before, and most people in my clinical group only get about 2 hours of sleep that night because we are terrified of what will happen if we don't know something, because she LOVES to write people up. Only 4 more weeks in the quarter and I am praying I don't have this professor again....

P.S. NursB, sorry to hear about your classmate.

Nurs2be.....I know it will be a hard day for you on Monday....and for your whole class. I have to say this though....as sad as her passing is....she would NOT want you guys to go under and she is watching and probably in little ways helping you to succeed. So take a deep breath....get your head above water and swim for all you are worth....she will expect you to make it and I have faith in you and I know you can do it!
