Satellite Nursing Program

  1. My community College is starting a satellite nursing program with a college 1 1/2 hours away and they are only admitting 5-10 students per semester! Does this sound odd to anyone else? Anyone ever done this? Just curious....

Ive heard of schools who offer satellite classes for people such as nurses who are interested in continuing on and want their bachelors but who live in a small town and cant get to a larger university to futher their degree. But thats all I know about that!

Here in Ohio, the college I am attending offers a satellite program for nursing, but I don't know too much about it. They still have to take clinicals close to where they live. I think they are trying new ways to offer programs and this is a good one along with the internet offerings in other courses.

Doesn't sound odd to me. To me it sounds like they may only have staff for 5-10 students...perhaps if it becomes successful, they'll increase the size....
