my pharm class was only 6 weeks i just tested out two days ago and passed thank goodness. we dont have pharm 2 till next semester. we had to concentrate on conversions such as drams per ml and grains per mg. we also learned formulas for flow rate, drops per min, and ratio and proportion. what are you learning? we didnt have any tests till the final. im just glad i dont have to retake. alot of people i thought would have passed didnt but i think its because the questions can trip you up easily if you dont pay attention. oh we also learned how to read drug lables and sliding insuling scale. what are you having trouble with? maybe if you can offer specifics we can help you better. good luck!

We are taking Dosage Calculations for that. But for Pharm we are learning the drugs, the effects, and implications, and teaching and dosages. The hard part is remembering all these for the test

sounds like your pharm is our pharm 2 we called dosage calc pharm 1 lol i would try index cards and repatition. it takes the humand brain a min. of 21 times of repetition befor short term memory becomes long term. so if you are forgetting stuff on test day its prob. because you arent repeating it enough. hope that helps.

Try to categorize by drug class

Review the underlying physiology and anatomy

If chemistry works for you, look at the functional groups on the molecules and what kinds of properties they bestow on the molecules.

Repetition...lots and lots of repetition. Do multiple reviews per day. Pick a class and go after that. Review at different intervals (Review 10 drugs, wait 10 minutes, review them again, wait 5 minutes review again, wait 15 minutes review again, wait 60 minutes review again, wait 10 minutes review again, wait 2 hours, review again...) I took a language course that used this technique and found it very effective for any sort of memorization.
