Penn Valley out of district/out of state?

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello, I originally posted this in a different forum months ago but after receiving over 300 views and no replies I decided to re-post my question here. Please Help!!

Hi I'm applying to MCCKC Spring or Fall 2018 for nursing. However I'm really concerned that I won't get all the points required to get in. I know there are a huge amount of applications to the program. I live in Leavenworth so not only do I live out of district, I live out of state as well. BRYQJ7kUUyGmmaTpMgDCQpWiZx4Vysr19gcCVawACMbL5+wlFJenpKUCD8vOyMDAMt3QPF4YeY2AAAAAElFTkSuQmCC I know it's one of the required points. Has anyone gotten accepted to penn valley's nursing program living out of district/ out of state?

I got this question answered myself. There used to be a 7 point system. 4 points were your total gpa in the 3 nursing prerequisite classes, 1 pt for microbiology, 1 point for current cna and 1 point for living in-district.

They have now changed their system. There are still 5 points for the pre-reqs and microbiology but you need CPR, not CNA. I was told that they don't take anyone under a 3.6 GPA because there's so few spots.
